At One Wealth Advisors, some of us work from and live in different locations. One might think our company culture would be waning because of this distance, however our team’s dedication and shared values keep us close, even with miles in between. This commitment to a positive, inclusive culture makes it easy to stay engaged as we always find ways to connect and celebrate.
One recent highlight that brought us all together happened just last week: OWA’s Halloween annual costume contest. From a perfectly styled Lord Farquaad (David Santos) to an adorable elephant (Karime), a family of Pokémon (Megan) to a little astronaut and a princess (Alex’s kids). There was even a pet cat with devil horns (Kevin’s cat). Almost everyone showed up in spooky spirit. The one that made my face hurt from laughing the most was a clever spoof on Dr. Seuss’s Thing One and Thing Two, which became “multifactor authentication” à la OWA’s compliance policy (Eleanor and Tessa). The creativity and humor on display are exactly what make our team so unique and enjoyable to work with.
Whether we’re collaborating from home offices or sharing laughs in person, it’s the little things—like our Halloween fun—that make our culture strong.
